2014 Summer Hire Program
The 2014 Camp Zama Summer Hire Program vacancy announcement will open on June 23 to June 30. The Summer Hire work session will begin on July 13 through Sept. 6, or the start of the school year in some instances.
Positions include clerical and labor, non-hazardous, work. Due to the limited number of positions, students may not be assigned based on their preference. A lottery format will be used during the selection process, if there are not enough positions for all students to be placed.
The salary is $5.50 per hour, and may be subject to change. Duty station for each position will vary, and may include multiple locations in the Camp Zama or Torii Station Community.
Students will be responsible for arranging their own transportation and will only be placed within the commuting distance of the sponsor’s duty location.
HOW TO APPLY:
There are very specific guidelines for students to apply for a summer hire position. Please go to the local CPAC office or download the attached Vacancy Announcement for complete application guidelines.
Applications may NOT be sent electronically, via e-mail or faxed.
CAMP ZAMA APPLICANTS: Applications MUST be submitted in person at the CPAC office, Bldg 102 G Wing, Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m., and on Thursday from 1:00-4:30 p.m.
TORII STATION APPLICANTS: Applications MUST be submitted in person at the CPAC office, Bldg 216 room 225 or 223 Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m., and on Thursday from 1:00-4:30 p.m.

• College Students/Graduating High School Students: Fall 2014 registration or current letter from school registrar
*** Students who are not assigned to the overseas area with their sponsor and who are “visiting” for the summer are not eligible to participate in the Summer Hire Program***
