OKINAWA, Japan -- Rear Adm. Matthew Carter, commander of Naval Forces Japan and Navy Region Japan, center,  tours a new hangar with Hiroshi Toyama, mayor of Kadena Town,  on Kadena Air Base, Oct. 25. Carter toured key infrastructure and met with Okinawan officials during a two-day visit to Okinawa in support of the U.S.-Japan alliance.
