Just because summer is over, it doesn’t mean it’s time to let that body of yours go.
Losing weight can be tricky. And weight loss isn’t necessarily positive if it comes at the cost of muscle.
The 18th Aerospace Medicine Squadron knows that knowing your body composition is important when deciding to make health a priority. And they want you to know they have the machine made just for that.
BOD POD is a non-invasive body composition assessment for adults and children according to COSMED, which makes the machine.
With this system you can get accurate numbers about your body without much hassle.
There are guidelines and rules to follow ahead of time, but the test itself only requires wearing tightly fitting clothes and getting into the pod. An operator will take your reading and give you measurements and scores to help you better understand your body. Along with some detailed data and advice, the machine will give grades on your fat count.
“BOD POD has most commonly been used by body builders, but I want others to know that this system is available,” said Eneida Parker, Health Promotion Program Coordinator of 18th Aerospace Medicine Squadron (18 AMDS) Health Promotion.
Using the machine requires an appointment, and the good news is the system is available for free for the military community on the island.
So, why not try BOD POD and find out just what you’re made of.
