SUNABE—Okinawa’s newest CrossFit gym has arrived.  Opened on September 15th, 2014 in Sunabe, CrossFit BAGUS brings functional fitness to all residents of Okinawa.  CrossFit is a highly effective fitness philosophy that relies upon constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensities.

Kaori and Naoya Arasaki own the gym. Naoya, a former goalkeeper for FC Ryukyu, has found CrossFit to be the best physical fitness program he has ever experienced. His belief in the transformative power of the CrossFit methodology compelled him to open the gym. It is the hope of the Arasaki’s that by sharing the philosophy of CrossFit with others, they can impact their wellness in positive ways that exceed their expectations.

The gym is located at Minato 6-9, Chatan, Okinawa and offers classes throughout the day.  English and Japanese trainers are available at the facility. Workouts are offered for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes.  CrossFit Kids and childcare are also available. If you are new to Crossfit and would like to sample a class, a free workout is available every Saturday at 8:45am and on Thursdays by appointment.
