Lance Cpl. Tyler Gallagher, right and Lance Cpl. Cory Booher add stamps to a package during a field training exercise Dec. 9 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The exercise forced the Marines to perform their jobs in a simulated deployed environment in order to enhance the postal skills of the Marines. “This exercise really proves how difficult it can be to perform our mission while deployed,” said Gallagher, a Richmond, Virginia, native. “Teamwork is much more paramount now that I’m forced to rely on the Marines to left and right of me.” Gallagher and Booher are postal clerks with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan.
