The USO and What to Expect Foundation are partnering to host three baby showers for hundreds of expecting military mothers living in Okinawa, Japan. Heidi Murkoff, author of the bestselling "What to Expect" series of pregnancy and parenting books and creator of WhatToExpect.com will host the events.

Pregnancy and becoming a mom is exciting, but never easy. For a mom-to-be who's facing this life changing challenge as a military spouse deployed a world away from their support network, the experience can be overwhelming. The USO and What to Expect presents Special Delivery baby showers will give expecting military moms an opportunity to meet Murkoff, have their pregnancy and parenting questions answered, as well as connect with other military mothers who are facing the same challenges so far from home. The showers will also include traditional baby shower games, food and gifts.

The event will be held on August 7, 8, 9 at USO Kadena (Kadena Air Force Base) from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

*One baby shower per day with a maximum of 100 attendees per event
