Dragon Fun Run to support Kubasaki High School's Project Graduation
Okinawa, Japan (May 12, 2013) – KBHS Parents of Seniors 2013 announces the 4 Mile Dragon Fun Run scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2013 starting at 0800 from the Kubasaki High School campus. The Dragon Fun Run will support Kubasaki Project Graduation, the safe, chemical and drug-free “lock-in” party for graduating Kubasaki High School seniors.
According to MGySgt Pete De La Rosa, the 4 Mile Dragon Fun Run is “open to everyone of every age from babies in strollers to Marine joggers and everyone in between.”
The 4 Mile Dragon Fun Run helps defray some of the costs of providing an all-night “lock-in” event for Kubasaki graduates. According to Mr. De La Rosa, “the Project Graduation party gives our new graduates the chance to celebrate their achievement with a memorable all-night celebration that includes dinner, dancing, pool party, movie theater visit, bowling, and more, all in a safe, drug- and chemical-free environment.”
The 4 Mile Dragon Fun Run happens Saturday, June 1, 2013. Check-in and registration begins at 7 a.m. in the Kubasaki High School parking lot and the race kicks off at 8 a.m. The course runs through Camp Foster.
Pre-registration is 25 dollars and same day registration is 30 dollars. Participants can pre-register online at www.wepay.com/events/111407. All entrants are guaranteed a strikingly designed Dragon Fun Run commemorative T-shirt. Overall winners will receive a handsome prize.
For more information participants can contact Mr. De La Rosa at 645-1082, or go to the official Facebook page at facebook.com/2013KubasakiHighSchoolDragonFunRun.
The Project Graduation party is sponsored by KBHS Parents of Seniors 2013, a non-for-profit organization chartered to fund, plan, organize, and execute the 2013 Project Graduation party.
