3d Dental Battalion/U. S. Naval Dental Center Okinawa will also be sponsoring a Library Fun/Parent Education Day at the Camp Foster Library on Saturday, February 8th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Parents and children will learn about the benefits of good oral health, what to expect on the first dental visit, ways to prevent early childhood caries, and proper brushing and flossing techniques. There will be stories and games.
As a friendly reminder, with proper care, a balanced diet and regular dental visits, a child’s permanent teeth can remain healthy, strong and last a lifetime. Little or no fluoride makes teeth more susceptible to cavities. The simplest and most effective means to ensure your child receives the optimal amount of fluoride is to drink fluoridated bottled water available at base commissaries or exchanges.
