Military children, tell us your story!
The children of our men and women in uniform are a special breed – and Month of the Military Child is when Stripes Okinawa dedicates each April issue to what they have to say about being a “military brat.”
So kids, tell us what’s on your mind! Send us your stories, poems, drawings and photos!
Parents and teachers, encourage and help them send their stories to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll run them in this paper and post them on our special Month of the Military Child website – stripesrewards.com/militarychild – which is already loaded with hundreds of stories from kids worldwide. (You may even have a story you want to share about your military child or students.)
These stories don’t have to be long, but you don’t have to keep them short, either. Stars and Stripes is very proud to serve the military community, and it’s an honor to spotlight this resourceful group of children. So help us tell the story about life as a military child. We can’t wait to hear from you!
