Sigma Gamma Gamma Graduate Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Host 6th Annual Que-Nic Anti-Bullying Event
The Brothers of Sigma Gamma Gamma Graduate Chapter of the 13th International District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. held their 6th Annual Que-Nic event to promote the kickoff of the Anti-Bullying Month Campaign. The event was held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Ryukyu Middle School football field on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Over 120 youth of all ages from local elementary, middle and high schools signed a pledge to stand up and say no to bullying.
Partners which helped sponsor this event included the Okinawa Youth Football League and Cheerleaders. Participants and parents received free hotdogs, hamburgers, water and Gatorade while they enjoyed watching the youth football games and cheerleading performances. Boys and girls that took the anti-bullying pledge received a free purple and gold “Say No to Bullying” bracelet, bookmark and a raffle ticket for the give-a-way of four backpacks.
Other organizations participating in this event included members of the Prince Hall Masonic Family and Okinawa Chapter of the National Naval Officers Association (NNOA). The Association also set up a display table and provided fun games for the youth including Buddy or Bully and Anti-Bully Word Search.
