CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — A Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit was forced to make a precautionary landing at Kadena Air Base on Thursday after a warning indicator lit up during a training flight.

There were no injuries. Aircraft rescue and firefighting teams were dispatched after the landing to extinguish a “small” fire caused by hot brakes, according to a Marines statement. No injuries were reported.

The aircraft appears to have suffered limited damage and was to be towed to a parking area for an investigation.
