Outserve Okinawa will be hosting a Christmas party on Dec. 13  from 2 p.m. for the homeless in Naha at Promise Keepers. Volunteers are needed and encouraged to participate.

We raised $1,120 at a bake sale and then matched the money from our own funds. We purchased socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and bed sheets. All of these items will be passed out and whatever is leftover will be given to the shelter for use. Also, we are going to be putting up lights and other Christmas decorations.

Outserve Okinawa is a private organization (PO) on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Our group consists of all active duty, regardless the service, members that identify as Lesbian Gay Bi-sexual or Transgender (LGBT).

This PO is used as a safe haven for LGBT military members to come and talk and hang out with other people that are like them. We also host numerous fundraisers throughout the year so that we can raise awareness about the LGBT community as well as give back to the community.
