MADISON, Wis. (AP) - An investigation has been launched into the death of an airman while deployed in Japan with the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin National Guard.
The airman reportedly fell from a fifth-story window in Kadena, Japan, on Sunday. The airman was taken to the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa at Camp Foster, where he was pronounced dead.

About 250 airmen from the 115th Fighter Wing's 176th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron deployed to Okinawa, Japan, in January to support a variety of operations, including disaster relief, anti-piracy and defense duties in the Pacific Command Theater.

The airman hasn't been identified, but his name is expected to be released Monday.

The incident remains under investigation.
