Waryu Sushi Shuna is located on the second floor in the Grand Mer Resort. Menu items range from authentic full-course Japanese meals to modern fusion cuisine.

Shuna also offers special all-you-can-eat lunch for at an affordable price. For 1,800 yen, you can try any dishes from the menu, which includes appetizers, soups, salads, sushi and more.

The best part, however, is the quality of the dishes. I tried the grilled and steamed snow crab legs for my first order. Unlike other seafood buffet restaurants, they were fresh, packed with lots of crab meat and, most of all, it was DELICIOUS! My friends and I got so quiet because we were busy eating crab meat. We also tried tempura and they were served crispy straight from fryer. I could see the steam still coming from the shrimp and vegetable tempura.

Then there’s the charred salmon sushi. I’ve tried many sushi restaurants on Okinawa and in mainland Japan and I think Shuna serves the best sushi on island. As I put it in my mouth, the salmon melted away. Let’s not forget dessert: You MUST try the mango sherbet and purple yam ice cream. It was so good that I had to get seconds.

At Shuna, they prepare dishes as you order and bring them to your table. Each person can order up two items at once – all you have to do is to fill out the order form at a table. Just check the items you want and hand it to the wait staff. While you are waiting for your food, you can enjoy conversation with your friends and a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

If you cannot spend two hours for lunch on a weekday, don’t worry. You can visit Shuna over the weekend. They offer this special lunch 7 days a week. But I highly recommend that you make reservations to get a table with a nice view.
