Old naval hospital recognized by Japanese architectural committee

The old naval hospital, aboard Camp Lester, was one of four building in Okinawa selected for documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the modern movement (DOCOMOMO). The United States Armed Forces have worked hand in hand with local architects on and off base for 16 years. Depue is the Camps Foster and Lester camp commander.
