Miss Hispanic Okinawa Pageant crowns queen
On September 28th at the Schilling Center, the Miss Hispanic Okinawa Pageant crowned Deserai Darlien Rudy as their first MHO Queen 2013. She was born on May 1, 1996, in Tacoma, Washington. Her mother, Lidibeth Rudy is from Panama while her father, Christopher Rudy is from New York. She is 17 years old and a senior at Kadena high school. She is also the Vice President of Kadena High school's Anime club. She enjoys practicing artwork, reading, baking and playing video games. Darlien volunteers at Red Cross but also wishes to help out at Karing Kennels. She wants to pursue a career in graphic design, animation, and creating video games. Her biggest goal in life is to show the world that beauty is in all forms of life; not what society has dictated. She will be representing the community during the Hispanic Heritage Month! First runner-up is Jazmine Aguilar and Second runner-up is Lyric Pipkin.
