When did you first begin volunteering with the USO?

October 2014

How did you hear about us and what made you want to get involved with the USO?

I heard about the USO because I was looking for places to volunteer and some friends suggested it as a great place to start volunteering. I got involved because I had spent time visiting USO Hansen before and knew it was a great place to meet, help, and have a good time with other people there. I am really glad I started volunteering there and enjoy every moment of it.

How has your experience been so far?

My experience at the USO so far has been very fulfilling. It has kept up with all my expectations.  I always feel needed and that I am doing something productive with my time.

What have you found as your greatest strength as a volunteer?

I would have to say that my greatest strength as a volunteer would be that I am very dependable towards the managers and guests needs at the USO.

What keeps you coming back?

I would have to say that the good times and the great people that make up those times. There is always something new and fun to do or going on at the USO.

Do you have an inspirational story you can briefly tell us about?

I recently volunteered during Thanksgiving and it was very inspiring to see all of the Marines surprised, but also excited at all the food and activities that we had provided for them at the

USO. Even though they were far away from their families, they all seemed to have a good holiday. That was a very good feeling for me and memory I will always have.

Fun Fact about yourself:

I look very Irish and my last name is Czechoslovakian, but I actually have a good amount Apache Indian in my heritage.
