Ie Island Lily Festival kicks off April 22

The earliest lily festival in Japan comes back to Ie island April 22-May 6. This annual event features about 100 kinds of lilies from around the world, starting with white Easter lilies spreading across the field. Live music and dance performances are scheduled at the venue during weekends. There will also be vendors selling food and goods. This event draws thousands of people every year, so it is recommended that visitors come early to avoid congestion at the port.
