1st MAW Marines participate in a MCIWS pre-screener

1st Marine Aircraft Wing

U.S. Marines with Marine Air Control Squadron 4, Marine Air Support Squadron 2 and Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, swim 500 meters during a Marine Corps Instructor of Water Survival Pre-Screener on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 12, 2020. Marines participated in this pre-screener course, overseen by a certified MCIWS instructor, to gain entry into the MCIWS instructor course that will allow them to teach water survival skills to Marines and Sailors.
