AFN TV is giving the overseas military audience extensive Summer Games coverage from Tokyo similar to what viewers in the United States will see from NBC.

Coverage includes the opening ceremony of the Tokyo games, live July 23 at 12:55 p.m. Central European Time (CET)/ 7:55 p.m. Japan/Korea Time (JKT).

“We’d especially like to thank the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its licensees as well as NBC Sports for clearing the games for broadcast to overseas U.S. military communities around the world,” said Mike Drumheller, the Director of the American Forces Network (AFN) Broadcast Center, in California.  AFN will broadcast more than 600 hours of live and delayed Olympic coverage on AFN|sports, AFN|sports2 and AFN|prime Atlantic and Pacific.

For a complete listing of summer game coverage, as well as other sporting events, news and entertainment programming, go to www.myafn.net.  As always, the unpredictable nature of live sports could result in last minute changes to the on-line schedule.
