Did you know?: NFL quarterback has ties to Okinawa
From the Bears to the Redskins to the Browns and now the Ravens, Robert Griffin III, a.k.a. “RG3,” can also call himself a one-time Okinawan. Long before he was throwing and running all over college football en route to winning the Heisman Trophy at Baylor University, the former star quarterback was born on Feb. 12, 1990 to army sergeants Robert Jr. and Jacqueline Griffin on Kadena Air Base.
