Did you know?: Okinawa once had a 326-day water outage

Okinawa is often concerned with a lack of water as the prefecture relies upon rain and dams for their water. There were big droughts in 1904, 1963 and 1981. The especially dry weather in 1981 caused a water outage of over 326 days, which is still the longest recorded in Japan. Efforts were made to artificially make it rain.
