Did you know?: Tanabata, one of the most romantic festivals in Japan

During one of the most romantic and traditional festivals, Tanabata, aka Star Festival, is celebrated every July 7. As part of the celebration, fancy slips of colored paper called 
tanzaku are tied to bamboo branches. Wishes are then written on the paper. Some of the wishes include things like “improved handwriting skills, drawing or singing”.
