Did you know?: Thick acrylic glass at Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The huge tank at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is made from acrylic glass that’s about 24 inches thick. It takes the two-footthick glass to support the 7,500 tons of seawater inside. To see just how thick the structure is, the aquarium has a piece of the same acrylic glass on display.
