Camp Foster – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is helping Marines and military families stay BE FIT in 2020 with better-for-you meals and snacks that support readiness and resiliency.

“The Camp Foster Exchange is committed to promoting a BE FIT lifestyle so Marines can perform to their maximum potential,” said Foster Exchange Sales Area Manager Coley Soderlund. “By emphasizing proper nutrition with better-for-you options, the Foster Exchange can meet the needs Marines and military families.”

As a partner with the Air Force Smart Fueling initiative, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service is committed to offering better-for-you food options in its restaurants, main stores and Expresses.

For on-the-go snacking, the Camp Foster Exchange main store and Express locations carry BE FIT-approved items, including fresh fruit, yogurt, trail mix, nuts, tuna, grass fed meat snacks and jerky, veggie chips, and bottled water. Healthier Choices, Healthier Lifestyle shelf tags make it easy to find BE FIT snacks and drinks.

The Camp Foster Exchange’s commitment to providing healthier choices also extends to vending machines for Marines needing a quick pick-me-up. Baked chips, dried fruit and trail mix are among the Foster Exchange’s selections. These and other Foster Exchange vending options fulfill National Automatic Merchandising Association Fit Pick requirements, containing fewer than 35% of calories from fat, fewer than 10% of calories from saturated fat and fewer than 35% total weight from sugar.

“Proper nutrition keeps our Nation’s fighting forces ready and resilient,” Soderlund said. “The Foster Exchange is all in every step of the way.”
