Four Okinawa spouses in running for Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year
It’s time again to vote for the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year (AFI MSOY). You can now vote for military spouse nominees through February 10.
According to the AFI MSOY website, the program honors military spouses for their contributions to the military community and the world. Each year, nominations pour in from the civilian and military sectors seeking to recognize the spouses that are essential to the mission.
Once the nominations are in there are subsequent voting rounds by base level, branch level and then ending in an overall Military Spouse of the Year name in May of each year.
The first round of voting on national nominees runs Feb. 6 through Feb. 10.
Below are the military spouse nominees based on installations throughout the Pacific:
- Maria Page, Camp Schwab (USMC)
- Jennifer Hammond, Camp S.D. Butler (USMC)
- Shari Evans, Camp Zama (Army)
- Athens Pellegrino, Kadena Air Base (USAF)
