Futenma's MV-22 Osprey at Exercise Talisman Saber 2017 in Australia

A MV-22 Osprey with the Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron VMM-265 (REIN) out of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, spools up for takeoff at RAAF Base Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Aircraft 14, pictured, has been practicing the deployment of U.S. Marine Corps reconnaissance teams, as part of Exercise Talisman Saber 2017. These service members are a part of more than 33,000 U.S. and Australian personnel are participating in the biennial military training Exercise Talisman Saber 2017 in Australia. Talisman Saber is jointly sponsored by the U.S. Pacific Command and the Australian Defence Force Headquarters Joint Operations Command and incorporates U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force and the Australian Defence Force as well as other government agencies from each country.
