CAMP FOSTER, OKINAWA, Japan -- Athletes from the local and U.S. communities raced up the hills of Camp Courtney during the Lord of Tegan Run March 11 aboard Camp Courtney.

The annual race invited the local community on base for a friendly fun-run and gave the communities a chance to bond through exercise.

The success of the United States Army is aided by consistent improvement in warfighting equipment.

Members of the local and U.S. communities gathered for a Camp Commanders Cup softball tournament March 10 aboard Camp Kinser.

The tournament invited members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 15th Brigade on base for a day of laughs, food and friendship.

WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- Select total force Airmen will be chosen to participate in one of two surveys supporting the Invisible Wounds Initiative.

The 2018 IWI Culture Assessment Survey and the 2018 Invisible Wounds Needs Assessment are confidential, voluntary surveys that will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

WASHINGTON, March 12, 2018 — Eligible military members who served in disaster relief efforts for Hurricanes Harvey, Irma or Maria are to receive the Humanitarian Service Medal.
