Recently, I decided to change my “lurker” status, and post something in a popular military spouse Facebook group to which I belong. In my first post to the group, I asked how military families had been affected by COVID-19 restrictions.
The joint HIE securely connects DoD, VA, U.S. Coast Guard, and hundreds of other select federal and private sector partners with patient health and benefit information data. Using the joint HIE, all health providers within the system -whether at a military medical treatment facility or in the TRICARE civilian network-can securely access beneficiary records and health information, including lab and radiology results. Camp Foster Girl Scout Troop 422 hosted the event to promote the beginning of their cookie sale season, giving a box of cookies to each participant who registered for the event.
