URASOE CITY, OKINAWA, Japan— Marines with the Single Marine Program and Camp Kinser’s leadership participated in the 40th Annual Urasoe Tedako Festival July 22 in Urasoe City.

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER, Okinawa, Japan – Three U.S. Marines have been declared deceased subsequent to extensive search and rescue efforts when an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft entered the water approximately 18 miles off the coast of the Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Queensland, Australia, the evening of August 5.

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER, Okinawa, Japan - On Aug. 6 at around 3:00 a.m. local time, the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps suspended search and rescue operations for three Marines involved in the Aug. 5 MV-22 Osprey mishap off the east coast of Australia. Operations have now shifted to recovery efforts.

U.S. Army Garrison Okinawa officials met with local Kadena Japanese police at Torii Station 4 August to discuss traffic safety on Okinawa. The Kadena Police Department presented traffic safety promotion banners to U.S. Army Garrison Okinawa in an effort to promote safety measures and further promote their strong partnership.
