Hudson signs Military Saves Campaign proclamation
Maj. Gen. Charles L. Hudson signs the proclamation for the 2014 Military Saves Campaign Feb. 12 at his office on Camp Foster. The signing of the proclamation expands the campaign from a week to now the whole month of February. The Campaign’s goals are to encourage and promote military members to help build wealth through reducing debt, setting goals, and developing good habits that lead to financial stability. Military members stationed on Okinawa are encouraged to take full advantage of the campaign and the personal financial management courses provided at no cost year round by Marine Corps Community Service and Marine and Family Resources. The campaign’s theme this year is to “Set a Goal, Make a Plan, Save Automatically.” More than 128,000 military members have already taken the Military Saves Pledge online, with hopes it will ultimately increase unit mission readiness. Hudson is the commanding general of Marine Corps Installations Pacific.
