KADENA AIR BASE, OKINAWA – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is helping the Kadena Air Base community start the year off right with a wide selection of better-for-you meals and snacks—all while keeping the safety and well-being of the community top priorities.

“With more better-for-you meal and snack options than ever, the Exchange makes it easy to maintain a BE FIT lifestyle,” said Kadena Exchange Store Manager Flordeliza Payton. “Whether dining out or on the go, Airmen can count on the Exchange to help them meet their nutritional goals while maintaining a safe, sanitized and secure environment.”

All of the Kadena Air Base Exchange’s restaurants offer better-for-you options that support readiness and resiliency:

  • Burger King’s beef patties are made from 100% beef with no fillers or preservatives and chicken and beef patties are free of colors and flavors from artificial sources.
  • Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen diners can choose from more than 20 items with less than 350 calories.
  • Charley’s Philly Steaks offers items with 150 calories or fewer including grilled chicken, steak and garden salads, as well as a selection of Philly Cheesesteaks with less than 500 calories.
  • Taco Bell diners can reduce calories and fat by up to 25% by ordering almost any menu item “Fresco style,” replacing ingredients with freshly prepared diced tomatoes.

Airmen and families can also find better-for-you meal and snack options on the go. The Kadena Exchange is committed to maintaining a safe, sanitized and secure environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Safety measures underway at Kadena Exchange restaurants include:
