Ms. Kylee Bailey, a 10th grade student at Kadena High School, received a certificate of excellence on Thursday, May 31, 2018 for becoming the first Talent Hunt Winner from Sigma Gamma Gamma Graduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in Okinawa, Japan. Kylee went on to win on the district level. She will represent the 13th District at the International Talent Hunt Contest held in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, July 22, 2018.

Ms. Kylee Bailey will represent the chapters from the following locations: Africa, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Germany, Hawaii, Japan, Kuwait, South Korea and Virgin Islands. She will also compete with 12 other district winners from all over the United States. Each contestant will receive $1000 in cash and free airfare and hotel accommodations, along with airfare for one parent or guardian to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Talent Hunt Idea was created in the Fraternity's Sixth District (North and South Carolina) in 1945, and the first District Talent Hunt Program was held in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 19th, 1946. The need for such a program was born out of the unequal opportunity afforded to some American youths to develop and give full expression to their talents.
