Ali, a native of New York and a motor transport mechanic with III Marine Headquarters Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, performs routine maintenance on the M1123 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) steering system on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Sep. 6, 2017. HMMWVs are typically used for transporting gear, ammunition and troops.
