OKINAWA – The Installation Exchange will mark the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s 131st anniversary and legacy of serving those who serve with Cake Cutting, In-Store Events, Giveaways and more. July 25 at the Kadena and Foster Exchanges.

From 1100 to 1500, the Kadena and Foster Exchanges will host Cake Cutting, In-Store Events, and Giveaways. The Kadena Exchange will kick off celebrations with a 1100/Cake Cutting and Foster Exchange will kick off with a 1230/Cake Cutting.

“For 131 years, military families have turned to the Exchange for comfort and care,” said Foster Exchange Store Manager Roland Guerra Jr. “This event is a chance to celebrate the Exchange’s commitment to Warfighters and to thank every member of the military community.”

Since the Department of War’s General Order No. 46 directed commanders to establish post exchanges in 1895, the Exchange has constantly evolved to function as a force multiplier for the Nation’s military.
