Pacific Okinawa Players is set to produce the madcap, musical-murder-mystery: Something’s Afoot  for their 2017-2018 season. Come and join the cast and crew in an evening full of song, dance and murder to figure out ‘who dunnit.’

Something’s Afoot is a zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical theatre itself. Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit.

The fearless leader of this rag tag bunch of suspects is our Director, Mark Honnold. Other production team members include Krista Hurley (Stage Manager), Melanie Bales (Music Director), and Amy Pastoor (Choreographer). The suspects include: Becky Thomas (Lettie), Joshua Bales (Flint), John Smith (Clive), Morgan England (Hope Langdon), Glen Mitchell (Dr. Grayburn), Kelly Dolan (Nigel Rancour), Hillary Scales-Lewis (Lady Grace Manley-Prowe), Randy Pickens (Col. Gillweather), Christine Smith (Miss Tweed), and Pojo Riegert (Geoffrey).

All performances are located at Kubasaki High School on Camp Foster. With a limited run of only 6 performances, this is not one to miss (March 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17). Tickets are available for purchase online at the POPs website, pacificokinawaplayers.org

While this show does not contain what we consider objectionable material, it is still a murder mystery and will most likely be more enjoyable for middle school students or older. Something’s Afoot promises to be a great night out with friends and family, get your tickets now, before they disappear for good.
