U.S. Army Garrison Okinawa Commnader Lt. Col. Zachary Hohn participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Kadena Elementary School and reopening of Kadena Middle School Feb. 27-28. USAG-Okinawa Command Sgt. Maj. John Tanchak and 10th Support Group Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Barcena joined Lt. Col. Hohn as distinguished guests at the ceremony.

The new campuses celebrate Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA)'s adoption of "21st Century Schools for 21st Century Learning". The 21st Century model contains the latest features in flexibility, adaptability, sustainability and energy conservation.
