USO Okinawa Staff Highlight: Danielle North

by Brian White
USO Okinawa
Name: Danielle North
Position/Title: Center Operations Manager
Time worked at USO: October 2017 - Present
Center/Office location: USO Kadena
Tell Us About Them: Danielle was previously a USO volunteer. She volunteered more than 500 hours and won the Fall 2017 Volunteer of the Quarter at USO Kinser. She loves going above and beyond to help the service members and their families. She works hard to make sure that the programs at USO Kadena are running smoothly and everyone is having a good time.
1. Why do they love working at the USO?
I love getting to know our patrons. Many of them come from all different parts of the world and have such interesting backgrounds. I also love my coworkers. I feel like we have become a family. The work we do at USO Kadena is already fulfilling, but it’s even better when you have a team that all works together and makes completing the mission fun.

2. What is their favorite memory of working at the USO?
My favorite memory was when we threw the USO’s 76th Birthday Party Event. We set up a photo booth, had some great food and most of our volunteers showed up so we were all able to come together and reflect on the USO’s accomplishments and how far we've come as an organization.
