Okinawa is expected to be under a state of emergency until June 20. For situational awareness, keep this phrase in mind.

“Hijyoujitai-sengen ga hatsurei-chuu desu”, which means “We are currently under a state of emergency.”

(“Hijyoujitai” – emergency/a state of emergency, “sengen” – declaration, “ga”– a proposition to put after a noun which functions as a subject, “Hatsure-Chuu” – being issued/being effective)

Ok, stay safe and see you all in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
