VIDEO| Speakin’ Japanese lesson: The wind is getting stronger

In Japan (especially in the mainlands of Honshu, Kyushu and Shikoku), September and October are known as months with many typhoons. In previous years, I remember many typhoons hit the country and cause serious damage, so watch out for high winds and heavy rains characteristic of this season.

Today’s Japanese phrase is:
"Kazega tsuyoku nattekimashita" = The wind is picking up.
("kaze" = wind, "tsuyoku" = strong, ".. ga .. nattekimashita" = becomes more and more..)

You can use "ame" (rain) instead of "kaze" (wind) in this phrase.

"Amega tsuyoku nattekimashita." = The rain is getting heavier.

You can use these phrases particularly in these typhoon months.
