Now that we’re relying on our phone, email and social to keep in touch, what do you say when you receive a phone call from an old friend?

“Long time no see!” or, in this case — hear.

Today’s Japanese phrase is: Ohisashiburi desu. Long time no hear/see.
Pronounced: Oh-his-sashay-boo-ree deh-sue

Use this phrase by phone, video chat or in person.

Stay safe and see you in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
