To combat the COVID-19 pandemic, getting your vaccine shot is very important.  "wakuchin" (COVID vaccine) is now a buzzword in Japan.

Today’s Japanese phrase:
“Wakuchin wa mo uchimashita ka?” = Have you already got your vaccine shot?
("wakuchin" = (covid) vaccine, "mo" = already, "uchimashita" = got shot, ".. wa..ka?" = have you... got...?)

This phrase is used among Japanese very often these days. So use it when you talk to your Japanese friends and encourage them to get their own shot as soon as possible.

Stay safe and see you next time for another Japanese expression!
