Motorists should be on the lookout this weekend for road closures and traffic during the annual Naha Marathon taking place on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Traffic restrictions in the area of the race will be in place between 8:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. The time varies depending upon each section of the course.

The race starts at Ounoyama Athletic Park near Naha Military Port at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Runners will head north on Route 58 and Kokusai Street before heading south on Routes 330, 507, and 331.

If you are planning to go to Naha City or head down south on Sunday, please be aware that traffic can be slow around the area. You can also call a hotline 050-3786-7855 to ask information on the traffic restrictions in English. This hotline will be available between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the day of the marathon.
