Kadena High School Student performs at the 71st International Talent Hunt Program sponsored by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity
Ms. Kylee Bailey, a junior at Kadena High School was selected as the 2017-2018 Talent Hunt Winner for the Sigma Gamma Gamma Graduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on November 17, 2018. She received a check for $300 and represented the Chapter at the 13th International District Talent Hunt competition which featured various student performances- singing, dancing and playing musical instruments from the following countries and locations: Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Republic of Korea, Japan, Ghana, Bahamas and Hawaii.
On May 31, 2018 Ms. Bailey received confirmation she was the First-Place Winner of the 13th International District Talent Hunt Competition. Later, she received another check for $500, two free round-trip airline tickets and hotel room accommodations to New Orleans, Louisiana to showcase her talent at the 71st Talent Hunt Program.
Ms. Bailey, along with 11 other high school students representing Districts across the US, performed on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the New Orleans Convention Center. Upon completion of the Talent Hunt Program, Ms. Bailey and the 11 participants received a plaque, medallion and check for $1,000.
Ms. Kylee Bailey is the first Talent Hunt Winner to represent Sigma Gamma Gamma Graduate Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the community of Okinawa, and the 13th International District at the International Talent Hunt Program. Ms. Kylee Bailey is the daughter of Mr. Jacob and Mrs. Sharilee Bailey. She has two sisters McKenna and Madison. The Bailey family lives in the Yomitan community of Okinawa.
