Healthy twists on breakfast

Looking to spice up your breakfast recipes? Try one of these luscious nectarine smoothies or add natural sweetness to your waffles with a little sweet potato.

1-2 nectarines, pitted
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
200 milliliters soy milk (add more to decrease the thickness)

Add ingredients to blender and blend to desired consistency.

Handful of blackberries
200 milliliters soy milk (add more to decrease thickness)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 scoop strawberry protein powder

Add ingredients to blender. Blend to desired consistency.


Servings: 2 waffles
1 sweet potato (approximately 1 cup steamed)
1/4 cup almond butter
1 tablespoon coconut flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon maple syrup
3 eggs

Mix everything together, adding the eggs last. That should form a good batter. Drop it in the waffle maker … easy!
