Milkhall Iramina Cafe

As my son and I walked through the door of Milkhall Iramina Cafe, the aroma of bread baking stirred memories of comfort and warmth. It immediately took me back to the days of my mother baking bread. The aroma of garlic was a bonus for my son. He loves garlic!

We were immediately greeted by the owners. Their cafe is situated in an area of old military houses and has been neatly redone with comfortable sofa style seating, pillows to slouch into and closets turned into quaint seating for two. A backyard has been made over for customers to bring their small dogs to run in while diners enjoy their meal under umbrella-covered tables. There’s even a small table for the little ones to sit at outside! Very clean and kid-friendly.

The menu is large and offers a variety of options. From breakfast-style meals to generous lunch portions, everyone will find their favorites.

Their specialties are popovers and honey wheat biscuits. If you have never had a popover you are in for a treat: light as air but filled with an explosion of flavor. For an extra flavor boost they are served with jam and butter. My son always orders the Popover Sundae. It is a huge popover topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, fresh fruits and whipped cream. It’s huge and enough for two, unless you are a ravenous 16-year-old.

All menu items come with the option to add on their all-you-can-drink, drink bar. It boasts hot/cold tea, hot/cold coffee/flavored teas, and vinegar drinks. All are very good.

The owners speak very little English but are extremely welcoming. Their menu has excellent English.
