Month of The Military Child

I know we all have our challenges of moving to a new place especially leaving our family, friends, and school behind. I’ve had my experiences as a military child which has been pretty nice but sometimes hard. It’s nice because we get to travel to new places and meet new people, but it’s hard because we leave and have to start new, just when we start to get used to everything.

I was born in 2013 at Nason Hospital, Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania although I am from Bellwood, PA. A few years later, my Dad joined the Air Force which meant that we had to move. We then made our way to Georgia where he was stationed at Moody AFB for six years, I really enjoyed it! My dad then got his next orders to Kadena, AFB Okinawa, JP, which is where we have been for the past 4 years. I enjoy visiting the beaches, eating at Yakiniku, and the people here are so nice. This was an experience that I will never forget!

In the next six months we will be packing up all our belongings and moving back to the States. It’s bittersweet leaving but I’m happy that I will be closer to my family. Even though I’ll miss Okinawa once I move, I’m also kinda excited and kinda nervous to see some new people at the new school in the states.
