Hills of a “military brat”

Being a “military brat” can be fun! It can be boring. It can be cool! It can be hard. This is why I call them hills. They’re up. They’re down. Sometimes everything at once. It can be fun to go to new different places around the world, but it can also be boring on the long travels there. And it’s really cool to make friends at the new place, but you have to leave all your old friends behind. And sometimes your military parent goes on deployments. You might not see them for months. Or years. But... I think that the good outweighs the bad. I mean, we’re educated for free! We can make more and more friends! We can visit and live in new places! So, overall, I like being a “military brat”!
