U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Cameron Knight, a water support technician with 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, starts a generator at Hokudaien Training Area, Hokkaido, Japan, Jan. 28, 2020. Northern Viper is a regularly scheduled training exercise that is designed to enhance the interoperability of the U.S. and Japan Alliance by allowing Marine Air-Ground Task Forces from III MEF to maintain their lethality and proficiency in MAGTF Combined Arms Operations in cold weather environments.
