Castaway: Marines with EOD Co. conduct Jungle Warfare Training

3rd Marine Logistics Group

U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Adam Koffron, an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician with EOD Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group (MLG), builds a shelter during Jungle Survival Training on Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, June 8, 2021. EOD Marines support Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations by practicing survival methods in areas where logistical support may not be accessible, but mission completion is still the priority. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
